Exams

We are full members of the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) and offer optional exams which usually take place in the autumn term before Christmas. The IDTA graded (from grade 1) and vocational graded qualifications are recognised by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) and appear on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).

We currently offer grade and medal exams in Ballet, Tap, and Musical Theatre. Our exam results are always exceptional which is a reflection of the commitment, dedication and hard work of our students and teachers.

Shows

All students have the opportunity to perform in our annual show every year which takes place in a theatre in the summer term. It is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their talents and it is always the highlight of the Excel calendar.
Students who attend the Performance technique class also have opportunities to perform at various community events where students learn professional etiquette, and gain performance experience all year round.
