It has been a wonderfully busy and exciting time for everyone at Excel Performing Arts, with our talented dance students shining at many local community dance events. Over the last couple of months, our dancers have been working hard on a festive repertoire of beautifully choreographed dances designed to bring joy, sparkle, and the magic of dance to our Hertfordshire community.
Kicking Off the Festive Season with Dance
Our festive community dance performances began on 16th November, when Excel Performing Arts students performed at the St Albans Christmas Lights Switch-On show ‘A Christmas Cracker’. This was a fantastic opportunity to represent our dance school, and our dancers lit up the stage with confidence and Christmas spirit. The event drew big crowds and was a brilliant start to our Christmas dance events.
A Double Weekend of Festive Dance Performances
Last weekend was a particularly exciting one for our youth dance performers, who delivered two festive shows across London Colney, St Albans, Hertfordshire.
Bowmansgreen School Christmas Fair – Saturday, 22nd November
Our students performed a selection of their festive dances at the Bowmansgreen School Christmas Fair. As always, Excel Performing Arts dancers brought energy, enthusiasm, and polished performance quality to this popular community event.
London Colney Christmas Lights Switch-On – Sunday, 23rd November
The celebrations continued the next day at the London Colney Christmas Lights Switch-On, where our dancers once again showcased their dedication with vibrant, well-rehearsed choreographed dances. This local Christmas dance performance was perfect for getting the community together as the Christmas lights were turned on.
Celebrating Dance and Community Spirit
At Excel Performing Arts, we believe that dance is more than just movement—it’s a way to bring people together. These local Christmas dance shows give our students invaluable performing experience while strengthening connections within the community.
