Since we came back to classes after the October half term it has been such a busy time at Excel Performing Arts.
The grade 4 ballet and Intermediate tap students took their IDTA exams on Sunday 14th November. This is where an examiner from the IDTA visits our school and the students take their exams in twos or threes. The IDTA graded (from grade 1) and vocational graded qualifications are recognised by the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) and appear on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). Everyone worked really hard for these exams and although we now have a nail biting time whilst we wait for the exam results, we are confident that our student’s hard work will have paid off.
We also have the performance students who are gearing up for their first performance in two years at the St Albans Christmas Lights Switch On show on Sunday 21st November. The students are busy rehearsing and putting the finishing touches to the performance pieces. There are three groups of students performing three brilliant Christmassy pieces. This is a fantastic event and we are absolutely thrilled that our students have been asked to perform. Their performance will be at 1pm on the main Taxi Rank stage.
The performance students will also be performing at the London Colney Christmas Lights on Sunday 27th November at 5pm which is another lovely Christmas event that we are looking forward to.
