We have been busy working through the government guidance and making sure that we are doing everything that we need to do in order to be able to start back to Excel classes safely in person.

We have done a comprehensive COVID-19 risk assessment and are putting in place various new procedures which will involve cleaning in-between classes, floor disk markers for social distancing, sanitise stations and new drop off and pick up procedures. I will be sending out more information about the new procedures soon.

We have had to temporarily re-organise the classes and timetable into small bubbles which has not been easy. Each Excel bubble is unable to mix with other Excel bubbles. This basically means whatever classes a student does at Excel, they will only do class with the same students in their bubble whether it is jazz, ballet or tap. This bubble timetable is only temporary whilst we have to have bubbles but the good news is with a little bit of juggling, it has meant we can pretty much offer all of our classes apart from drama at the moment. We intend to get drama back on the timetable as soon as we are able to.  Our singing lessons will remain online.

Our start back date at Bowmansgreen School is on Saturday 12th September. 

As part of our Covid-19 procedures, we will require everyone to fill out a household health form no more than 48 hours before the start of each term. This is also an online form which we will email out nearer the time. If there are any health changes during the term you are required to inform us immediately.

IDTA Ballet and Tap Exams

There has been some good news for the ballet and tap students who have been working towards their grade examinations. The IDTA have now resumed the examination service and as well as face to face exams, they are now also offering online live exams in case there are local lockdowns. This is great news as it means we can now look at booking an exam session for those students that are ready and want to take their grade exams.
