This time of year at Excel Performing Arts is always a busy time as the ballet and tap classes take their graded IDTA exams and the Performance students perform at various Christmas events.

It all kicked off straight after the October half term break when not one but two IDTA examiners visited Excel Performing Arts. Seventy five students took an exam on Sunday 13th November 2022 ranging from five years old all the way up to eighteen. Every one of the students had worked really hard and when the day came everyone went into their exam smiling and came out smiling.

At the time of writing this post we are still waiting for the results but we are keeping everything crossed for a good set of marks.

After the exams there was no time to rest and the following weekend the Excel Performance students performed for the crowds at the St Albans Christmas Cracker event where the Christmas lights were switched on. The students performed a special Christmassy repertoire on a big stage in the middle of town in glitzy, sparkling costumes. It was a very professional performance as always and got everyone in the Christmas mood.

We still have a few more Christmas performances to go including London Colney Christmas Lights and Bowmansgreen School Winter Fair.
